From the author that gave us Andrew “the epitome of what it meant to be an asshole” Hamilton and his sexy and sin ass, I now have a new @sshole to love from this unputdownable story. Fasten your seat belts, we’re in for a bumpy ride….

While trying to get over her cheating ex-boyfriend, Gillian Taylor meets the deliciously sexy Jake Weston who promises he can make her forget for at least a night. A couple of steamy rides in elevators and a comedy of errors the undeniable chemistry between them explodes. Having set their boundaries they part ways only to feel restless by the all-consuming desire to be with each other again.

“This is hardly love.”
“Then it’s hardly lust.”
“Then we’ll just call it us.”

Chance puts them in each other’s path again when they share a flight as captain and flight attendant. But not only does the company they work for forbid relationships between employees, Gillian is trying to put her life back in order after having her professional dreams go up in flames while Jake’s impenetrable walls only allow him to pursue no strings attached pleasure. They don’t make sense together and yet the intense attraction between them pushes them to risk everything. Can Jake ever open up to Gillian? Will they be able to survive each other’s pasts? Come what may, their journey will be turbulent.

“She was the only woman who could intrigue and enrage me all at once – the only woman who could literally p!ss me off one second and have me laughing at her the next.”

Without a doubt this one of my most anticipated read in 2016, I had been waiting for it for almost a year. I fell in girl crush with Whitney’s writing after reading Reasonable Doubt and have devoured everything she’s put out ever since. She writes characters I love and love to hate with quick, sharp banter in very interesting backdrops.

Jake Weston is an absolute bastard. He’s ridiculously hot and smart, but also cold, distant and arrogant with a brilliant piloting career with which he does whatever he wants as he seems to be above every rule, but why? He also has a family and a past that haunt him terribly and has affected how he relates with people, especially woman. His dry bluntness was so funny, I just couldn’t help but be charmed by him.

“You’re my anomaly.”
“What do you mean?”
“Surely after all the crossword puzzles you’ve stolen from me, you know what the word ‘anomaly’ means… And I’m also just not sure how to say I love you.”

Gillian was an interesting character, I felt bad for her not just because she seemed to be going through a rough patch in her life personally and professionally, but also because of her family. Even when I find it incredibly hard to believe there could ever be so many selfish and conceited people in a single family. But she never completely lost her way and was glad for her when she finally succeeded. It was also fun to read about her career as I kept wondering if there were some autobiographical bits added to her story.

The relationship between her and Jake is truly interesting and unconventional. From the way the arrogant eavesdropper and the modern day Goldilocks meet, to the sizzling hot sexy times that almost caused my eReader to go up in flames, to the way in which they went from just sharing their bodies to slowly connecting on a deeper level despite their constant push and pull that would give most whiplash, until they finally found their way together.

The story’s pace was perfect. It’s not told on a linear timeline, but rather back and forth in time as needed for every detail to be revealed in the most engaging way that had me glued to the edge of my seat wanting to know how everything would play out.

I would love to tell you about her dream job, about Jake’s family and how everything unfolded but I would totally spoil the fun, because not only is this an erotic romance which delivers exactly what it promises, lots and lots of delicious hotness, it’s also a gripping story from start to finish and would not mind in the least to get more of.

Turbulence is a standalone erotic romance by Whitney Gracia Williams. It is a full-length story with lots of dirty hot sexy times, and interestingly endearing moments. Told from both points of view.
