Review: Saven Denial

Saven Denial
Saven Denial by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just like her full length books, Siobhan fabulously incorporates in the exciting novella great character development, awesome new worlds and species, never-saw-that-coming twists and turns and above all an emotional roller coaster that has me completely hooked.

Sadie’s life has been in constant flux for the past months. From wanting more out of her predetermined lower class life were love wasn’t an option she discovers that aliens exist and are roaming the Earth, falls head over heels for prince from another planet and was in the middle of an all-out intergalactic war until she discovers she has fire making capabilities at the same time she’s abducted.

Without another choice, Sadie is forced to listen to the appalling truth about her past. How the ruthless Griselda, leader of the Tor who have the technology to time travel, has been using her to layout her revenge against Saven. Her love for Logan and the knowledge that he can save the world is more than enough incentive for her to do anything and everything to thwart Griselda’s plans, including sacrifice herself.

I was completely floored by this jam packed novella and have fallen more in love with this series. Siobhan writes a quick paced story were she reveals shocking truths while skillfully weaving in new characters and interesting plot twists.

Along with other interesting characters, we meet Axton, son of Griselda who definitely throws a wrench in Sadie’s already tumultuous life. We also get to see Sadie’s strong will and character fight for what she believes in, which makes her in my opinion an awesome heroine whose story is absolutely captivating.

Saven Denial is novella 2.5 in the Saven sci-fi YA series by Siobhan Davis. It is not intended to be read as a standalone and is an integral part of the series. It should not be skipped. Told from Sadie’s point of view. It has a cliffhanger ending.
